Must Destroy is insanely proud to announce... ROBERT POLLARD 'From A Compound Eye'

'From A Compound Eye' is Bob Pollard's first 'proper' solo album since the disbanding of his indie-/lo-fi-/pop-/stadium-rock outfit GUIDED BY VOICES amidst a sea of tears and beer on New YEars Eve 2004.

we here at Must Destroy are responsible for it here in the UK and Europe, whilst in the US the honour goes to the very awesome Merge Records (as if it wasn't enough that we get to work with Bob, we also get to work with the folks who not only brought The Arcade Fire and Butterglory to the world, but also wrote 'Slack Motherf*cker'... truly, we are not worthy).

'From A Compound Eye' will be released Monday 6th February 2006.

From A Compound Eye is preceded in the UK by the single 'I'm A Strong Lion' on December 12th 05. released as a limited edition 7" and limited edition CD-single, the single is backed by the otherwise unavailable tracks 'Breadcrumbs For The Whales' on the 7" and CD, and also 'Inchworm Parade' on the CD only.

for more info on the album - and other goings on in the world of Robert Pollard / Guided By Voices - you could do worse than check out the news piece at Pitchfork (cos they obvioulsy have more patience for typing than we got) or Bob's own site

thank you.

MUST DESTROY... NEWS!!!

SLUDGEFEAST - 'Virtua-Rock' album out Sept 19th!!!!! download the 'Total Confusion' EP for FREE! NOW!! FUCK The Sludgefeast album, Virtua-Rock.

YEAH!!!! the time is very nearly upon us, kids! the 'Feast's second proper full-length release for Must Destroy is 'in the can' (as they say. maybe) and will hit the shelves of record stores on Monday 19th September, whether you like it or not.

as with previous Sludgefeast releases, it was recorded within the opulent grounds of Castle Feast with absolutely no expense spared... but Virtua-Rock far exceeds previous Feast output in terms of raw rock, overdriven bass frequencies and sheer exhilarating speaker-wrecking shit-rock mayhem. and, what's more, packaged alongside these 17 tracks of distortotastic awesomeness is a BONUS DVD!!

featuring not only all the 'Feast promotional videos so far and a whole heap of live tracks and stuff... but also the excellent mini-rockumentary DISASTOUR!!!!

bargain!

to prepare yourself for this momentous event you can download Sludgefeast's 'Total Confusion' EP (featuring a different version of Virtua-Rock's 'Total Confusion' and 3 exclusive non-album tracks) AND a the nice artwork to go with it, all for FREE! ain't we nice?

Sludgefeast will, of course, be hitting the stages of the UK (and Europe!) to support the release of Virtua-Rock... check back here or www.sludgefeast.com for more details as they happen!!!
